Yamaha Montage FM-X synthesized acoustic piano. Uses TX816 programming approach of harmonic component modeling, using the 64 FM-X Operators available in 8 Montage Parts. Discrete groups of Operators each create a specific harmonic component of the sound, and all these components are blended together to give the final result. MIDI performance of Chopin's "Grande Valse Brillante" by Bernd Kroeger of www.piano-midi.de and used by permission under the Creative Commons cc-by-sa-German license

Companion video for the first article of Manny's FM-Xpert eXamples, the Yamaha Montage FM programming article series at www.YamahaSynth.com: https://www.yamahasynth.com/modx-cate... Reviews the concept of Harmonic Component Modeling, and this first Video covers the creation of "acoustic eccentricities" and stuff", the unique & quirky parts of acoustic sound. Shows how to apply Operator Fixed Frequency Mode with partial pitch key scaling to create chacteristics of a grand piano. Audio file recording of Yamaha Montage synthesizer sound ""MF.HCM Piano Ex1" playing edit of MIDI file by Bernd Krueger, www.piano-midi.com and used under cc-by-sa license (apologies for typo "www.piano-world.de" in the Video screen credit) *Warning ! A short rant containing a hint of snark* Hey Youtube Copyright Bots -- go back to A.I. school! I know my FM resynthesis sounds very realistic and Bernd is a great player but, really now, you shouldn't be flagging synthesier MIDI performances of public domain classical compositions that sound _nothing like_ the alleged copyrighted recording(s)... just saying....:)

Companion video for the second article of Manny's FM-Xpert eXamples, the Yamaha Montage FM programming article series at www.YamahaSynth.com: https://www.yamahasynth.com/modx-cate... Covers how to "fix the holes" in FM harmonic spectra using the concept of Harmonic Conpenent Modeling, Again, the audio file recording of Yamaha Montage synthesizer sound ""MF.HCM Piano Ex1" playing edit of MIDI file by Bernd Krueger, www.piano-midi.com and used under cc-by-sa license

Companion video for article 5 of the series "Manny's FM-Xpert eXamples" at YamahaSynth.com: https://www.yamahasynth.com/montage-c... Reviews utilizing realtime control of FM-X parameters to morph our Harmonic Component Modeled Piano sound into both subtle and extreme digital FM timbres. These morphs can be controlled in real time via the Tone & Assignable Knob, the SuperKnob and Motion Sequences. Also covers using Scenes to store settings of all those knobs for easy recall.
