Updated programming demo of Yamaha Montage FM-X Piano Sound. Performance of the 3rd movement of Mozart's Sonata No.16 in C Major is an edit of Bernd Krueger's file from www.piano-midi.de, used under cc-by-sa license

Companion video for the first article of Manny's FM-Xpert eXamples, the Yamaha Montage FM programming article series at www.YamahaSynth.com: https://www.yamahasynth.com/modx-cate... Reviews the concept of Harmonic Component Modeling, and this first Video covers the creation of "acoustic eccentricities" and stuff", the unique & quirky parts of acoustic sound. Shows how to apply Operator Fixed Frequency Mode with partial pitch key scaling to create chacteristics of a grand piano. Audio file recording of Yamaha Montage synthesizer sound ""MF.HCM Piano Ex1" playing edit of MIDI file by Bernd Krueger, www.piano-midi.com and used under cc-by-sa license (apologies for typo "www.piano-world.de" in the Video screen credit) *Warning ! A short rant containing a hint of snark* Hey Youtube Copyright Bots -- go back to A.I. school! I know my FM resynthesis sounds very realistic and Bernd is a great player but, really now, you shouldn't be flagging synthesier MIDI performances of public domain classical compositions that sound _nothing like_ the alleged copyrighted recording(s)... just saying....:)

Companion video for the second article of Manny's FM-Xpert eXamples, the Yamaha Montage FM programming article series at www.YamahaSynth.com: https://www.yamahasynth.com/modx-cate... Covers how to "fix the holes" in FM harmonic spectra using the concept of Harmonic Conpenent Modeling, Again, the audio file recording of Yamaha Montage synthesizer sound ""MF.HCM Piano Ex1" playing edit of MIDI file by Bernd Krueger, www.piano-midi.com and used under cc-by-sa license

Example of true analog Pulse Width Modulation modeling using FM synthesis on the Yamaha SY99. Waveform starts as a square wave (50% pulse), and slowly modulates to a thin, narrow pulse wave (about 10% pulse width). Uses looped envelopes for the slow 'LFO' PWM effect so that the Mod Wheel can be used for LFO vibrato. Uses no filters. Melody is excerpt for the "In Search Of" TV show theme. (NOTE - there are a few audio encoding glitches from the upload conversion, sorry !)
