Tutorial video for the Yamaha Reface DX voice "Complex Pad Example" as discussed in the FM Synthesis Programming article series "Manny's Modulation Manifesto" on Yamahasynth.com Uses Algorithm 5 with three Modulators to allow for versatile control and complex harmonic structures. However, with only one Carrier it's like a 'single oscillator' sound and somewhat thin on its own requiring the Effects to 'thicken' it up. In contrast to the voice "Lush Pad Example" that uses Algorithm 8 with two, 2-OP stacks that create a thicker, detuned 'two oscillator' style pad, for this example I chose more Modulators for the control and complexity vs 'thicker' with less control and complexity using Algorithm 8.
